The Nordic Center is non-profit organization founded in 2011.
Our vision is to be a warm and inclusive place for community engagement in traditional, contemporary and emerging Nordic culture and knowledge.
The Nordic Center supports a welcoming venue for local, regional, national and global artists of all disciplines to further their pursuits and exhibit or perform their respective art forms through Nordic related inspired bodies of work.
We are proud to be members of the Downtown Duluth Arts District.

In 2023 the Nordic Center shared the following exhibitions with the community:
Amy Sand’s Lines and Lineages; Leading From Our Hearts, a collaboration of artists featuring floral designs of Ojibwe and Nordic textile traditions; Jeffrey Kalstrom’s New Work; Nordic Reflections in Fiber celebrating the Duluth Fiber Guild’s 50th anniversary and Arna Rennan’s Seven Summers, landscape paintings from Bøverdalen in Norway.
Workshops, author book talks, the Nordic book group, concerts, language lessons, SunFundays for children and families are all part of the activities that make us unique.

In June 2024 catch the 2nd annual Duluth-stämman: Nordic Folk Music and Dance Festival, featuring over 90 musicians, dance and music workshops and children’s crafts events.
Come and experience our 13th annual Pepperkakebyen (Gingerbread Village) which begins in November 2024 with many live fun-packed activities
